As County Commissioner, Heather Buch stands with immigrant and refugee communities in Lane County. Heather voted to affirm Oregon’s Sanctuary Promise Act, making clear that Lane County will follow state law and focus local resources on local public safety. 

When ICE activity disrupted families and caused food insecurity, Heather released emergency funds to help families access food. These funds supported Food for Lane County and trusted local nonprofit partners assisting those directly affected by ICE raids.
